Tuesday, May 23 Pender Harbour to Prideaux Haven 59 miles 6 hours

Prideaux Haven is one of the premier destinations in Desolation Sound.  From this anchorage which is surrounded by many rocky islets, we can see snow covered peaks.  We had smooth cruising all the way to Desolation Sound.  There were a number of boats already here but it is a sizable anchorage.  We always aim for the middle of the anchorage but always wind up in an unintended spot.  Usually nears rocks…  We are near the side with islets nearby.  We have plenty of swing room.  Once we were settled in the day went from calm and sunny to a windy storm.  The rain came down so hard we could not see the mountains and the wind had gusts up to 29 kts.  We kept a close anchor watch but we stayed secure.
